What this register does and does not tell you
This site publishes the İhracatçı Birlikleri export register. It is a public record, not a recommendation and not a shortlist. This page says exactly what a row means, and where we are still unsure.
Where the data comes from
Every record is pulled from the Turkish exporters’ associations’ own search endpoint. An exporter is a member of the related exporters’ association, so firms that export appear here. We add nothing to a record that the register does not carry, except what we read on a firm’s own website and could quote.
What a row actually means — and the honest limit
The register lists each firm against destination countries. We have not established with the associations whether that marks a completed shipment, an approval to ship, or a market the firm declared. Until we have that in writing, this site says a firm is recorded against a country, not that it shipped there. If you are qualifying a supplier, treat the destination list as a lead to check, not as proof of trade.
These are not all furniture makers
The register groups firms by product group, not by what they make. The furniture group also carries paper and forest products, and this site additionally covers carpet, ceramics and glass, stone, textiles, lighting and metalwork. Of the 8,923 firms here, about one in six carries a furniture word in its registered legal name; the rest are other trades in those groups, or names that state no trade at all. The trade shown on a record is the product group it was registered under, not a verified description of its output.
Why most firms have no page of their own
A firm earns its own page only with at least four facts and a website we can check the record against. Roughly one in ten of these firms has a website that serves a readable page — not “no good website”, none that answers. The rest appear in the city and destination rosters, listed and not profiled, which is the honest state of what we know.
What “verified” means here
- Register only
- The association record and nothing more. This is every firm today.
- Documents seen
- A capacity report or equivalent has been read.
- Visited
- Someone has stood in the factory.
No firm carries anything but register only at present. When that changes, the record will say which and when.
Corrections
If a record about your firm is wrong, it is wrong in a public register and we want to fix it. The registered name shown is the string that appears on the export declaration — it is what to check against a Kapasite Raporu.
